About Brockton

Brockton Public Schools has established an Early Literacy Plan which includes various strategies to improve early literacy instruction across the district.

• They have high quality instructional materials in place and have trained teachers in Enhanced Core Reading Instruction (ECRI).
• They have implemented new structures in their elementary schedule with a 2-hour literacy block, which includes one hour of uninterrupted Tier 1 instruction to ensure all students have access to key components of the core curriculum. 
• They have rooted their professional development in the Science of Reading and their educators are strongly invested in the future of the students they serve.
